Federation Information

We are delighted to announce that Bude Infant School and Bude Junior School, as of 1st September 2016, are now a ‘Federation’. This means that they are still two separate schools but they have one Executive Head teacher, Mrs Sally Gordon, who was the head teacher of Bude Infant School, and one Governing Body, made up of representatives from both schools’ former Governing Bodies.

“This is a really exciting time for children, staff and parents. Working together, we are going to be able to develop stronger links with parents and improve the learning for all our children”.

Mrs Gordon

What this means for our pupils now is a continuous journey from Reception to Year 6, shared expectations, a consistent and synchronised approach to making each day count for each pupil and their individual needs.

The ‘journey’ for the Federation has only just begun but already the staff, pupils and parents alike have benefited from the renewed enthusiasm and a united front between the two schools.

Pupils, parents, governors and staff all contributed to the new ‘We are Bude Primary Federation’ image which incorporates all the shared aims and ethos’s of the Federation. This image will be a constant reminder to all about what we are trying to achieve and what is deemed important for our pupils.
